I started my blog solely to express my passion and keen interest in finance and money. As a teenager, I would like to encourage others my age to take initiative in their financial futures. With an ongoing mission to encourage and educate teenagers on personal finance and the importance of money, Fundamentals of Finance is committed to providing you with information on ways to build your bank account and personal portfolio to eventually become financially independent.

When I was 9 years old, my father asked me to read a book on budgeting and saving. Nine-year-old me got bored of the book within the first two sentences. Over the years, I always found myself going back to that book and attempting to read it again but every time, I put the book down and started doing something else. More than finding the book boring, I just didn't understand a lot of it. Since there weren't many teen-friendly resources out there, I had to figure it out through a lot of research.

I started this blog to sharewhat i learned and fill the knowledge gap for teens when it comes to financial literacy. My goal is to help demystify money matters and give young people a solid foundation from an early age.
